Click to enlargeThe Interpol General Secretariat hosted its 6th international Symposium on the Theft of and the Illicit Traffic in Works of Art, Cultural Property and Antiques at its Headquarters in Lyon. From 21 to 23 June 2005, over 100 delegates from 40 member countries, in addition to observers from international partner organizations, such as the UNESCO, UNIDROIT and ICOM (International Council of Museums) and private companies active in this field contributed to the debates focusing on the improvement of the international co-operation in the area of cultural property crime. This was the highest number of participants ever registered at the General Secretariat for an event related to the illicit traffic in cultural property and clearly demonstrates the importance of the subject matter to the countries world wide.

At the end of the conference, the delegates adopted recommendations Arabic  Español Français
