Thieves steal Masters paintings from a castle in Denmark

During the night of 8 March 2008, unknown perpetrators broke through a window into a private castle in Dronninglund, Denmark and stole two Masters paintings – one by Rubens and one by Goya – with an estimated total value of DKK 100 million (approx 13 million euros). They left the crime scene in an unidentified car.

Anyone with information about the theft of the whereabouts of the paintings is asked to contact INTERPOL National Central Bureau Copenhagen (ref.: QJ-2083-08) and the INTERPOL General Secretariat (ref.: 2008/9552).
