Armed robbery in the Museum of Fine Arts in Nice

Several armed and masked men entered the Museum of Fine Arts in Nice at about 1 p.m. on 5 August 2007, overpowered the personnel of the Museum and took 4 paintings of an inestimable value:

2 paintings by Jan Bruegel the Elder (1568 – 1625), Allegory of Earth and Allegory of Water, both 53 x 94 cm
