Resolution No AG-2006-RES-20

Revision of the Staff Manual


The ICPO-Interpol General Assembly, meeting in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, from 19 to 22 September 2006 at its 75th session:

BEARING IN MIND Article 22(e) and 29 of the Organization’s Constitution as well as Article 53 of the General Regulations,

CONSIDERING that the Internal Scheme for the Compensation of Involuntary Loss of Employment (ISCILE) constitutes a basic condition of employment within the meaning of Article 53 of the General Regulations,

HAVING EXAMINED Report AG-2006-RAP-27 submitted by the General Secretariat concerning the revision of the Staff Manual, and the proposals contained therein,

NOTING that the Staff Committee has been consulted about the underlying principles governing such proposals,

NOTING the opinion of the Ad hoc Committee set up in application of Article 56 of the Organization's General Regulations,

APPROVES the amended Staff Regulations as presented in Report AG-2006-RAP-27;

DECIDES that these amendments shall enter into force on 1 October 2006;

APPROVES the principle of lump-sum payments to be applied systematically i n the ISCILE with a view to simplifying the existing scheme;

DECIDES that the Fundset up by Resolution AGN/64/RES/19 ( Beijing, 1995) shall be used for such payments in application of revised ISCILE Rules.
