Procedure for monitoring resolutions

ENDORSING the contents of Report No. 7 entitled "Procedure for monitoring resolutions",

CONSIDERING it is important to find the most effective way possible of continuing to evaluate all existing General Assembly resolutions in order to harmonize them and reduce their number,

RECALLING that Article 22 of the Organization's Constitution makes the Executive Committee responsible for supervising the execution of the General Assembly's decisions,

MINDFUL of the fact that the General Assembly's agendas are always very full,

The ICPO-Interpol General Assembly, meeting in New Delhi from 15th to 21st October 1997 at its 66th session:

ASKS the Executive Committee:

(1) To supervise the monitoring of resolutions by the Secretary General;

(2) To submit to the General Assembly any draft resolutions needed to pursue this process.
