The Fusion Task Force
Objectives
- Establish global databases, with enhanced security measures, at the Interpol
General Secretariat regarding terrorist organizations and their methods and
membership.
- Identify the membership, hierarchy, and areas of operation, modus operandi,
and criminality of these groups.
- Develop target packages based on analysis of the collected data to facilitate
the disruption and dismantling of criminal entities that play a central role
in the funding or support of terrorist activities.
- Assist member countries upon their request in the exchange of investigative
information.
- Serve as a catalyst for the identification of good practices and current
obstacles in effective co-ordination and collaboration in criminal and terrorism
investigations.
- Encourage relationships and information exchange between law enforcement
covering many countries and relevant partners, such as customs, immigration
authorities, and security and intelligence agencies.
